Week 3 EOC: Where are you now, and where are you going

In the past few months my life has changed drastically. I've made some big moves and my agenda has opened up for the better. I'm currently employed with a law firm in which I plan to stay for a while. The plans that I have going on now aren't set in stone. Things can always change and I’ve learned how to adjust. As graduation waits for me around the corner, I look forward to obtaining a second full-time job. I'm not afraid to admit that I’m a workaholic. No matter how many times that I’m told I’ll never be satisfied, I continue to dream bigger. At this point I’m working seven days a week in order to accomplish the goals I plan on reaching. I remain open to new aspects of work at all times. In this point of my life, I can sleep when I’m dead. I'm not impressed with where I’m at now, but I’m on my way. I plan on gaining production experience in other places besides Vegas. I'm thinking of Seattle, Florida, or New York. I have the resources in order to make these major decisions, but I’m waiting until the time is right. Ideally, I want to be able to enjoy what I do. I want to work hard, and play harder. I will never be content with my career status; I want to achieve the inevitable.

Week2: Photo Challenge

This photo was taken during a shoot on the strip. My intentions were to capture various clips of the Vegas lights. I was inspired by a track that I listened to. The photo is memorable because this is the first time that I took my camera out after purchasing it. The sole purpose of the shoot was to become familiar with the functions of a DSLR camera. It is important to become familiar with the settings, especially in the lighting aspect. The lighting changes frequently, which makes great practice. I don’t plan on using this image; it’s more of a memorable keepsake.

EOC: Intellectual Property

Intellectual Property has been referred to as the “Creation of the human mind.” With that being said, Intellectual property is important because it protects various rights, and ideas.  Both categories of IP which include, Industrial property and copyright play an important role.  The entire process of obtaining a copyright can be a bit of a pain, but it is vital in order for an idea to be marked as valuable property.  Obtaining knowledge about intellectual property is definitely a must; this can help in order to keep disputes to a minimum.  Like anything else, a copyright does not continue indefinitely. The process is continually managed upon the tangible form of the idea. Both Copyrights and patents are protected by the U.S. Constitution.

There are many things that are created every day, IP is definitely something that is over looked and taken for granted.  To be educated in the many processes can prepare a creative professional for a successful future.  In the event that a patent is going to be obtained, it is important to follow a few basic steps in the IP process.  While there are many categories, it is important to place an idea, invention in order to file for protection.  It is also important to seek some legal counsel.  A business plan is always a good start in order to keep within a realistic perspective.  An idea is not to be taken lightly; if you can believe it you can achieve it.

Notorious

The idea of the short was inspired by rap legend, Christopher Wallace, also known as B.I.G. I couldn’t help but to over analyze the assignment. Which led me in an odd direction, creating the most random clip. When I seen the characters, I couldn’t help but to think of the two music artists. Seeing as the clip is a serious of random ideas, I find it difficult to explain in long terms as to what was on my mind in that particular moment. The characters Diddy and Biggie basically speak about the record deal, which was an actual conversation between the two when the rap star was signed.

This was my first time being introduced to the movie generator. The task was simple enough. The outcome of the movie would have been better if there were no limits on backgrounds, and accents. The experience was fun and I wouldn’t mind messing around on the website in the future.

Boc: In 5 Years

In five years, I aspire to have a second degree in cosmetology, or business.  I’m planning to also have obtained another full time position, in which I have the chance to advance.  My plan is to prepare myself financially in order to own my own property. I look forward to advancing both my career and college education within the next five years.  With hard work, and dedication I’m aware that anything is possible.  I have nothing holding me back from the goals that I want to achieve.  Another thing that I have on my agenda is to complete some production work in New York.  I look forward to doing some traveling in order to experience new things.  My dreams consist of many positive things that require a great deal of effort.  The obstacles that I face are only temporary.  Although, my thoughts sound good it is important to me to work out the facts into a useful plan to keep me within a productive timeframe.

week 1 EOC: Sacrifices

My goals have changed drastically in the last two months.  Just when I thought I settled for the city.  Now that I have new views to look from, my options are wide open.  I had to make certain sacrifices before, and now that things have changed for the better.  I’m in the position to make new decisions.  I now have the option to travel in order to accomplish some of the goals I’ve set in the past.  Ultimately, my family is the reason why I reside in Vegas to begin with.  The future of my career will be decided upon the arrival of my debt.  If I have to leave state in order to get my responsibilities in order.  I’m willing to make that sacrifice.
